Pumpkin Carving

Halloween is fun for the whole family. And it’s the most fun when a family partakes of the holiday’s spooky, quirky and creative activities all together. The Lawn on D, right here in South Boston, invites everyone to participate in their second annual Punkin’ Fest on Saturday, October 10th. Pumpkin carving, face painting, pumpkin bowling and a lit-up haunted “Punkin’ Manor” are just some of what lie in store for visitors to the Lawn between noon and 10:00 pm.

Pumpkins and carving tools will be available – on a first come, first served basis – for all who show up. The youngest among us can hang out at a special pumpkin patch with small pumpkins and paint for decorating. Everyone who carves or paints a pumpkin will place his or her masterpiece in the Punkin’ Manor. Stay until 7:00 or later when light shows throughout the evening bring the Punkin’ Manor spookily to life. (The Punkin’ Manor will also light up on Sunday and Monday nights October 11th and 12th.)

Food trucks will be available, so plan to spend hours sharing the Halloween spirit with friends, family and neighbors. See you there!
